We are looking for a Shopping Packer / Warehouse Assistant to join our growing picking and packing team, sending out customers’ grocery orders, gifts, and hampers.
The right candidate will be really friendly, enjoy working hard as part of a team as well as independently, and comfortable working productively to tight targets and deadlines. You’ll need to be reliable and self-motivated with great attention to detail, manage your time well and be able to work efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy.
This job involves providing our customers with the 'wow factor' when they open their box which means the attention to detail when packing is incredibly important.
Although not essential it would be an added bonus if the candidate can drive as you may be required to do collections and make deliveries so having a full clean licence which allows you to drive vans up to 3.5t would be an advantage.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· You will be efficient and accurate in your work and show great attention to detail.
· Ability to work well in a small team.
· You will need to have a base level of fitness as the role is very active and lifting is required.
· Extremely reliable with great timekeeping.
· Good customer service skills.
· Positive personality with a 'can do' attitude
Desirable experience includes:
· Previous experience in a retail / stock control / order processing role.
· Previous warehouse experience in a pick and pack operation.
· Experience and/or certification in a customer service role.
· Experience of working to and achieving targets.
· Food hygiene and correct storage & handling.
· Full clean driving licence and able to drive a van.
Full on the job training will be provided to the successful applicant.
The starting rate of pay is based on experience, and will be paid at the National Living Wage rate (£7.49 to £10.42 dependent on age). The job role is to work approximately 30 hours per week, generally Tuesday to Friday during the daytime The successful candidate will need to be flexible as the needs of the business change, and work may be required on other days.
You will also be expected to work extra hours at particular times e.g. Christmas to help provide cover during busy periods.
