Tican Chilled Ltd are a leading wholesale chilled meat distributor, delivering to businesses nationwide.
We are looking for a reliable self-motivated flexible person, with the ability to work on their own and as part of a team within our warehouse department at our Walsall site.
The role involves travelling to pre-determined locations with the driver. Assisting with the unloading of pallets at cross docking locations and ensure load is secure. The job is to be performed in a manner enabling the company to provide the best possible service to our customers.
Responsibilities
· Perform duties in a safe manner in accordance with Tican Chilled Ltd processes and policies.
· Use all equipment provided in accordance with safe working practices
· Assisting with loading of vehicle, taking account of delivery order and ensure items are easily accessible.
· Ensure loading is safe and secure.
· Planning routes and assisting driver, navigating any diversions.
· Assisting with the unloading of goods and re-loading at cross docking locations and ensuring load is re-secured.
· Acting as banksman for the driver parking in tight or concealed spaces (Training will be provided)
· Removing packing from products as necessary.
· Obtaining delivery signatures from customers when required.
· Keeping vehicle clean and tidy at all times and assisting with minor repairs.
· Assisting with wrapping of pallets prior to loading.
· Checking all pallets have been loaded as per delivery documentation.

Full time role, Monday to Friday 45 hours per week

Holiday entitlement 20 days per year plus statutory holiday
